WHO IS TEDDY ATKINS?

Dr. Theodore Atkins Jr. is a small business owner, high school history teacher, IFBB professional bodybuilder, certified personal trainer and motivational speaker who began his journey in the health and fitness industry in his hometown of Fort Laderdale Florida; by sailing meal plans door to door in the 6th grade.

Theodore’s love for health and fitness started with his father, who was also a bodybuilder; taking him to workouts and teaching him the effects of nutrition on the body. In 1995, Theodore took that knowledge and entered into three Iron Man completions at the Boys and Girls Club, and won them all. These goals were accomplished with the help of IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Ann Mary-Bortz and Oscar Cook (an NFL running back with the Detroit Lyons).

Once in high school, Theodore participated on the football, wrestling and track teams and boxing. Those experiences led to the creation of his first workout plan being disseminated to his high school football team.
While attending Florida A & M University (FAMU) and Florida State University (FSU), Theodore teamed up with Mr. Bob Carroll (Director of the FAMU Fitness Center) in 1998 to enter his first ever bodybuilding show (The Mr. FAMU Bodybuilding show). Theodore entered that show along with the following three Mr. FAMU shows and not only won them all, but also trained all the competitors of the show as well. This accomplishment afforded him an athletic hall of fame spot in the FAMU Fitness Center. Theodore then went on to earn his standard and advanced IFPA certification from Gei Nam Lim (Assistant Director of the FSU and FAMU Fitness Centers).

From 2003 through 2006, Theodore was employed as the director of marketing and gym manager for Westside Gym in Tallahassee Florida. In this capacity, Theodore implemented marketing projects, coordinated maintenance schedules, provided nutritional advice and provided personal training services to gym members. Theodore managed the fitness center staff, personal trained and provided nutritional consultation while employed with the FAMU Fitness Center in 2007 as well.

Since 2003 to present, Theodore has won and participated in numerous nationally ranked bodybuilding shows. Out of 21 shows, he has earned a top five ranking in 15 of them. In 2015, he obtained his IFBB Pro status by winning the Welterweight division at the NPC Nationals. He has obtained sponsorship packages and recognition from Gym Life and Bodybuilding.com and has been featured in Iron Man Magazine and multiple editions of Flex Magazine. He has also been featured in 7 bodybuilding videos as well.

Dr. Atkins has co-hosted both a Health and Fitness TV and internet radio show titled: Toning By Teddy. Both shows amied to make fitness fun, exiting and efucational. This occurred through jokes, audience interviews, and captivating community functions. The shows combined busted captivating viewers on three continents, and garnished the most viewers on Comcast Cables local independent market network.

Dr. Theodore Atkins Jr. Is a co-owner of Eunoia Consultancy Services LLC. Eunoia Consultancy Services LLC is a leading provider of strategic consulting and advisory services providing innovative mental health services.
Additionally, Theodore is the owner of Toning By Teddy, a healthy lifestyle consulting company. Toning By Teddy is dedicated to helping motivate healthy lifestyle changes both on an individual and corporate level. Companies like Walmart have used Toningbyteddy to get encourage for their employees to lead healthier lives.

Theodore is also the co-owner of Team Muscle IQ. Both Toning By Teddy and Team Muscle I.Q. are personal training and nutritional consultant companies. Team Muscle IQ has hosted and facilitated health related motivational speaking engagements to youth, coordinated group and individual workout sessions, and worked with local NFL players with athletic camps. Through hard work and the influence of social media, Theodore has taken his professional bodybuilder status and parlayed it into a successful career, which has impacted tens of thousands of people.

Theodore is also the Vice-President of Jw Just Works. A locally owned, community based assistance company that is designed to meet the needs of the individuals and companies that embody the fiber of our society. The wide variety of services offered by JW Just Works includes but isn't limited to: assistance with immigration, notary services, officiating weddings, divorce filings, Land Lord Tenant resolutions, income tax assistance, and federal and local background checks. Not only are services often in Haitian Creole, Spanish, and English, but they are provided on a moble basis as well.

Dr. Atkins is an innovative thinker who combines passion for health, wellness, and community. He is both a certified high school educator and college adjunct professor, a community leader, health and wellness facilitator, nutritional coach, double certified IFPA Personal Trainer, Certified Life Coach, motivational speaker, an IFBB Professional Bodybuilder and a published author. Dr. Theodore Atkins Jr. presents with seven college degrees, from three universities, which traverse three fields of academia: Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Education, with a culminating Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Psychology.
